Spring Nature Walk
Obviously, I can’t gather everyone affected by this problem. That would be too many kids! I want to help as many children as possible to avoid indoor entertainments by having fun with outdoor entertainments. That way, if they really enjoy it, maybe they will want to go outside more often.

My goal is to help these children realize that it’s not just YouTube and video games that can bring joy to you. I can’t address this problem globally, but what I am doing is a start. By participating, these children are making a difference for each and every other kid in the event. No one is too small to make a difference.

Children don't go outside very frequently because of indoor entertainment and electronics that are difficult to resist.

Hello, my name is Sophie De Faria and I am in 6th grade. My Social Studies teacher, Mr. Marciano, has assigned a project called Change the World. (Please scroll down and visit the link of  a youtube video about my teacher and this project.) We each had to come up with an idea to make a difference, no matter how small. I decided I would take children ages 7-10 on a walk at Hacklebarney State Park. It will be on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Rain date: June 1st (same time). All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you want to participate, e-mail sophie.defaria@yahoo.com and include the age(s) of the child(ren) and his or her name. You are welcome to ask any questions if you'd like.
